The King Dong

The King Dong is the madder, badder, brasher, ruder big brother to the Hungry Monkey. Longer, lower and slacker it is aimed at the mildly lunatic fringe of hardtail enduro.

Designed around a 140-150mm travel fork and 2.5” 650B tires it is fillet brazed from Columbus Zona tubing with a thick-walled down tube for additional strength.  It is available in standard or boost rear axle configurations and is built with Mercer’s own, in-house through ends. 

The seat tube is extra short to allow for the newer  175 – 200mm dropper posts. A 73mm threaded BSA BB shell accepts most modern cranksets and the 44mm headtube will accept any fork. 

It is available in Medium, Large and Extra-large sizes and comes standard with a single colour powder coat and unfiled “Factory Fillets”. Custom paint and smooth, radiused “Deluxe Fillets” are available as optional extras.
