The Gangly Gibbon
The Gangly Gibbon is Mercer’s interpretation of the South African Full Suspension Trail and Enduro bike. It has been ridden to many local enduro victories with Dan Dobinson at the helm and even placed 2nd (behind Steve Peat!) in the Masters Category at the final gruelling Trans-Provence.

Rolling on 29er wheels with boost spacing, the Gibbon has 120mm travel at the rear and is designed to take 140-150mm forks up front. The linkage driven single pivot design is playful and poppy. It’s guaranteed to make you smile!
Fillet brazed from a mixture of Zona and Cro-mo tubing from Columbus, the bike is long and low with short (440mm) chainstays, a no-nonsense threaded 73mm BSA BB and a 44mm headtube. The short seat tube will accept modern, long travel dropper posts and a port at the base of the seattube provides internal routing. The front triangle can house 2 water bottles and there are some nifty storage options in the swing arm for emergency trail tools and tubeless plug kits.
