Time to soak the flux off these fillets. They'll get a wire brushing once they're out of the soak tank but these won't be filed or sanded. It took me a long time to get to this point where I am happy to leave fillets unfiled as an option on my frames. With these "Factory Fillets" there's no where to hide any uneven work, but the satisfaction of laying down some consistent brass beads is unparalleled!

I couldn't resist snapping a few workshop pics this morning. The morning light floods through my windows and the workshop always looks it's best at this hour.
As you can see the workshop is getting a new wall to replace the tatty corrugated iron partition that separated my space from @conrad_hicks_artist_blacksmith gallery. This new wall is awaiting some glass and plywood panels but until they go in I'm really enjoying the feeling of space.

Thanks for the great ride this morning @irideafrica and @irideafricatoo. It's been far far too long since I puckered up and followed you two down some fun fun. Now I'm home and sitting around in knee pads in a bid to prolong the post ride bliss just a little longer.

A little while ago Scott damaged his beloved @stin

A little while ago Scott damaged his beloved @stinnerframeworks road frame in a roof rack accident. The down tube bore the brunt of the boo boo and needed to be replaced.
Scott requested that the other joints of the front triangle be filletted to match the fillets on the new down tube.
To avoid any distortion around the reamed headtube, I used a low temperature 30% silver solder to build the head fillet but stuck with good old brass for the bb. The top tube joints were originally tig welded and I just added a little silver solder over these to complete the picture.
I look forward to seeing how this turns out with a fresh lick of paint.
