The Hungry Monkey is a semi-production Mountain Bike from MERCER. Made by hand, one at a time in the MERCER workshop in Cape Town, it is available in three sizes – M, L and XL. The Hungry Monkey is a relatively lightweight but long travel 650B trail bike based around a 140 – 160mm travel fork. It is fillet brazed from mostly Columbus Nivachrome tubing and uses sliding dropouts.

The Hungry Monkey is a versatile frame and can be built up in different ways to suit your needs and preferences. The sliding dropouts allow it’s wheelbase to be shortened or lengthened to suit your riding style. It can accommodate  2.4″ tires comfortably.
The Hungry Monkey is built as a single ring specific frameset – as such there are no provisions for a front derailleur. It takes a 31.6mm seatpost and is dropper-post ready with stealth routing entering the base of the seat tube behind the BB.
The BB is a standard 73mm threaded shell.
The frame is offered with a tinted clear coat (pictured) as standard though custom paint is available too.
